Funeral service for Eldred Andrew Wesley of Talladega will be Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Usrey Funeral Home. Rev. Matthew Griffith will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. His family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 pm and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mr. Wesley passed away July 21, 2015 He is preceded in death by wife, Ann Wesley, parents, Emory and Hattie Wesley, sons, LaVan, Calvin and Marvin Wesley, granddaughters, Marta Perez and Charity Lee, sisters, Annie Jo Whited and Margaret Strickland, brother Charles “Bud” Wesley. Mr. Wesley began his law enforcement career in 1958. He was a motorcycle scout for Talladega Police Department earlier in his career. He became disabled and retired in 1983. He is survived by daughters, June Perez, Doris Price, son, Mike Wesley, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, sister, Sue Chappell, brothers, James Wesley, and Braswell Wesley, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Frankie Perez, Billy Abbott, James Grice, Allen Lesser. Ho Kim and Craig Price. Honorary pallbearers will be Talladega and Lincoln Police Departments.
